Cherokee County, Oklahoma (December 7, 2017): Billy Fleck, a 37-year-old resident of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, was killed in a single-vehicle wreck on State Highway 82, just over ten miles north of Tahlequah, Tuesday night, December 5, 2017. According to reports, Fleck was driving an SUV north on State Highway 82 when the vehicle veered off the road and smashed into a tree.
Fleck was pronounced dead at the scene while the other occupant of SUV, 31-year-old Eric Cook, also of Locust Grove, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. He has subsequently been released. The specific cause of the crash remains unknown, but authorities are continuing to investigate the accident. Both Fleck and Cook were reported to have been wearing seatbelts.
